Medical Assistant

We’re looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing team to help us with our growing practice needs! The right candidate for this role is polished, friendly, professional, a motivated team player, emotionally and professionally mature, and takes initiative to solve problems as they arise. The Medical Assistant will perform duties in both the front and back office, working closely with the NPs. 

Responsibilities:

· Prepare patient charts and medical records before treatment

· Assist with patient check-in and ensure patient contact details are current and consent form is signed for treatment before the patient is brought back to the treatment room

· Room patients, take before pictures, and begin educating the patient about treatment offerings before the practitioner enters the room

· Assist NP with treatments while maintain sterility and learn about the newest, most innovative treatments in the industry

· Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical equipment in between each patient and at the end of the day

· Correctly dispose of biohazard materials and infectious waste

· Inventory and assess the need for equipment and supplies while keeping rooms stocked sufficiently

· Under NP’s direction, submit prescriptions to pharmacies with directions

· Perform accurate documentation of all procedures at time of treatment and finalize by end of day

· Adheres to all policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service

· Performs other duties as needed and requested


Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Certified Medical Assistant/Licensed Vocational Nurse

· Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with unquestionable work ethic, personal integrity, and honesty

· Knowledge of charting, sterile technique, anatomy, and medications

· Detail oriented, professional attitude and reliable

· Ability to follow and provide verbal and written instructions or communications with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations

· Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and teammate support needs

· Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally. 

· Basic to intermediate computer skills and ability to learn a new system in a timely manner

· Knowledge and understanding of patient confidentiality.

· The right candidate is professional, friendly, motivated, mature and a team player that is willing and ready to solve problems as they arise in an expert manner
