  • For all laser treatments, we require a pre-treatment consultation so all pre and post-treatment instructions can be addressed. Day of, you will need to arrive with a clean face, clear of all makeup and skincare products. We do have a face washing station should you need to wash your face once you arrive for your appointment. Please let your provider know if you have a history of cold sores so medication can be prescribed ahead of time.

For each individual laser, the preparation is as follows:

BBL: Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks prior. Artificial tanner should be completely removed.

Moxi: Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks prior. During your pre-treatment consultation, you will be given skincare recommendations to enhance your results and post procedure skincare options.

Halo: Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks prior. During your pre-treatment consultation, you will be given skincare recommendations to enhance your results and post procedure skincare options.

ClearV: If we are treating the leg area, you will need to shave the area prior to arriving for the treatment. Leg(s) should also be kept clean and not have any lotion or product on them.

  • We will recommend a few post procedure creams to help speed up healing. During the first week post-treatment, gentle cleansers and gentle moisturizers are highly encouraged. No mechanical or chemical exfoliators are recommended the first week/waxing or other facial services. Avoiding sun exposure for 2-4 weeks after treatments is highly recommended as well.

We may also recommend a corrective series of laser treatments for optimal results and go over this during your consultation.

  • Risks of laser treatments can include hypo or hyperpigmentation of treatment areas if pre and post instructions are not followed. If you have a history of cold sores, we will want to prescribe you antiviral medications prior to treatment so you do not have a cold sore breakout. We also will want to reduce chances of acne flare ups and assess if premedication is recommended beforehand.

Patients who have an active autoimmune condition, actively receiving chemotherapy/radiation or are taking photosensitive medications.
